This may seem like a silly question but is there a good reason to have a CB anymore with mobile phone coverage in most areas? Just wondering.

Thanks.

The CB has helped me in traffic jams to avoid. And there are times where there is no or minimal cell coverage.

still need cb

Yes I think there is still some value to the cb. Most notably the trucker feedback on traffic and if something is falling off , dragging, or otherwise not right on the coach or the tow, many truckers will try to hail you to that news, and of course returning the favor keeps us all safer on the roads. Additionally, if you caravan with fellow travelers, the cb can be fun for "rachet-jawing", or keeping up with the "back door" of your " rocking chair". .......yep I know, now u may wanna know what a rocking chair is.......that's another class in cb lingo, good buddy......breaker breaker

BryanB is correct, plus it is nice if you are traveling with others. If you go on any WIT Caravans they use them heavily to keep in communication, morning updates, weather reports, and parking when you arrive at your next destination.
Enjoy.

That all sounds good. I think I will look into adding a CB since all the wiring is there.

I am do remember some of the lingo from CB's heyday in the 70s!

here is where the dealer mounted the cb when I had them install the roof mount Wilson antenna. what I like about this CB the speaker is facing the front, so who hear it real good.
