CB Antenna source for Journey

I have a 2002 Journey 32T that has the factory installed CB antenna. The problem is that the antenna whip is missing. Everything else is there and functional. I would like to be able to purchase just the whip to install on the base so as to eliminate the need to re-install the coax. Any ideas on where to obtain the whip or the make of antenna used?

Thanks,
Craig

If it's like mine on the top of the coach, and being the little rubber ducky model, you should be able to find it at Radio Shack, or look up some of the CB shops in your area. Also this type is used on motor cycles, either screw on or the quick disconnect mount. Be sure to clean out the connection on the top of your coach before you try to stick the new antenna in it.

Good luck

That illustration shows an antennae that's a little too long for mount on the top of our coaches. The one I was referring to is no longer than a walky-talky antennae.
Sorry I don't have a picture>>>

Try going to WinnebagoParts.com. They might have a replacement for you. If you call or e-mail WinnebagoParts.com you will need you coach VIN number and Serial Number. They can then look up the configuration of your coach as delivered and provide an exact part match if the part is available in their parts bin.

Safe travels. JD

I replaced mine with a 2 foot NGR (no ground) Firestix from Amazon. However after mounting in the factory hole the antenna doesn't sit straight since the factory hole is not on a vertical flat spot on the roof. I then purchased a side mount from Amazon and mounted on the side of the coach and it is now straight. The Firestix came with coax with instructions not to shorten the coax. The coax was no problem to install however the side mount took a few hours since there is a lot of metal framing in the area.

The Winnebago part number is 123256-01-000 which is the drawing above.
