Received this today...going to solve my tire inflation issues for sure...love it so far...note the 90degree extension that works great on those rear outer that face the inside of the vehicle.

A...I see the difference now! I didn't see the difference between quick reply (no attachment option) and this reply option which does. Here is a pic of that CAT weigh in I referenced and linked to.

Was this with full freshwater and fuel tanks? How about passengers (can estimate)?

Hey Bob..this was full fuel, propane, fresh at 1/3, grey at 1/3 and black at 1/3. Pretty close to full fresh is what that gets too. Had my wife with me at the time. Missing was two pups (so plus 135 lbs) and probably 3/4 of 'stuff' (food and bev, clothing, bikes) so I'm gonna say add another 300 lbs for those...so to me, may as well round up and say this weigh in plus 500 lbs of living and not living cargo. Oh and may as well max out the tongue weight when we start flat towing the jeep grand Cherokee so another 500 there. I think we're in a pretty good spot. Gonna weigh again fully loaded, again fully loaded plus bikes, and a third time fully loaded plus bikes and JGC just for kicks. Weigh in was easy (cost 11 and change) with the app I found. Plug in the cat scale location number and you're all set after you set up your account and link to payment method.

Is there anything I'm missing or not taking into account? All suggestions welcomed!

One piece of good news is that flat towing will not add anything appreciable to your tongue weight.

Since the toad is on four wheels it carries its own weight, therefore, the tongue weight is limited to about half your tow bar weight (think of two stretcher bearers sharing the weight of a stretcher) and a drop hitch receiver if you use one to level your tow bar angle. All total, 50 lbs or so. Just remember that anything you carry in your jeep will count against your CGVW and to your hitch's max capacity rating.

What do your psi tables give for tire pressures in based on the above? Don't forget to add a 10% safety margin to the table psi.

Thanks Bob! Good to know on flat towing.

For the tables... I'm actually off the chart on the low end from what I found. I'll be running 80 psi based on the calculations.. Here's how I got there.. I'm using the heavier calculations (CAT weight plus 1k lbs). Taking those (front at 5160 + 46% of 1k add on and 9480 + 54% of 1k add on) figuring 53% on each axle side (2979 front and 5311 rear) plus a 10% add on for cushion gets me to 3277 front and 5842 rear per axle side. Looking at my tables for the Goodyear 245/70/19.5 I'm running, the lowest calculation is 3640 for single tire at 80 psi. Dual is 3415 (per tire is my assumption on the table) at 80 psi. My placard says 82, so it looks like I have plenty of wiggle room here. 80 is where I'll look to land, but that still looks high given my weight add ons still doesn't get me to the lowest tire calculations on the table. Maybe I'm wrong in my fundamentals though.

I'm not sure if it makes a difference or not but my understanding of the 10% factor is to take your weight, look up the psi and then add 10% to the psi.

Are you sure that the table you're using is for your brand/size and load range tires that you have? It strikes me as strange that your so close to the bottom of your table range given your placard psi. It's possible that your tires are a higher load range than those your placard is based on. If so, that isn't a problem, you just have a stronger tire.

Remember, the table psi levels are the minimum amounts for a given weight, so don't think that that's where you need to be.

You might want to consider PM'g tireman9 for some advice. He's the expert.

Oh! Adding the PSI percentage. Got it. Yeah. My sidewalls have a max PSI of 110. I think they are over engineered for my rig

You can probably find out what the specs are on the stock tires, they may be a lower load range.

Weather is supposed to be awesome this weekend down here in LA so I'll check out the tire info for sure. I'm gonna drain all the tanks and sanitize the fresh water tank.

Today I completely drained all the tanks. Tomorrow gonna do a sanitization of the fresh water tank. Gonna get on my crawler and get underneath for a good look see as well. Definitely gonna check all the specs on the tires. Checked pressures today before I went to the RV park to drain and they were all 80-81 cold.

Hi Bdub
Congrats on the new rig, you are going to have a great time! We were also new to this motorhome gig recently, now towing a Jeep Wrangler with a 2005 Winnebago Adventurer..it’s been great. On another subject, we know Lafayette well...our motorhome spent the last couple years there while we tailgated at CAJUN baseball games. Have a son who played there and graduated last May..great area with fantastic people!

Continued to move in. Loaded up bins of supplies like plastic cutlery, plates, bedding and empty storage containers to fill up later with more supplies. Opened the fridge and freezer and noticed condensation on the top of the freezer, though I had turned the dial in the fridge to the off position last week. So I opened the doors and screwed in the travel bolt for them to rest on wedged open.

Gave systems a tryout. Ran the genie, autoleveled the jacks, even watched a little tv. I get 23 channels on the antenna! Wow. This isn't the camping I remember as a kid, that's for sure.

I had picked up a couple of those heavy duty plastic bins that restaurants use to stack dishes (thick gray plastic) from Sams ages ago. Used on for oil changes, and finally found the perfect use for the other one, holding the sewer drain hose!

Snapped a photo of my tire sidewalls to look up the specs on them as well.

I had asked the sales folks ask Winnebago for more of the tile backsplash. It was missing one whole section along the back from the factory (thought there was a bead of silicon along the countertop set at the exact thickness as if the panel was there at some point). They sent me a pack of 4 sections of that tile backsplash, so I was able to add that and I cut another section in half which was just about perfect to have backsplash all the way to the counters edge instead of stopping about 6 inches shy of the counters edge, which looked bad to me. I'll need to go back and seal the seams with clear silicon sealant next weekend.

Never got to refill the freshwater system and santitize it, but we might get some really cold, below freezing nights this week, so I'm happy to have the water tanks and pipes empty for this week.

Happy trails, everybody!

Update on my TPS installation problems. Today purchased 28MM Socket that fits the wheel cover lugs and broke those babies loose. Once loose took me about 3 minutes to get all 4 covers off using the provided tool and have access to the valve stems. Put 45 degree valve extenders on rear and adjusted all tires to about the 82 recommended. Added the TPS sensors and they work GREAT!!! Now I know I can get the wheel cover off in a minute or so I will just plan on removal whenever I need to add air and this will allow easy removal of the TPS even with theft deterrent. Whole process took me about an hour.

Had my first weigh today. Very similar to yours bdub. 14160 total, front 4960 and rear 9380. I did have full fuel, full fresh and 1/2 black tank. This will be within about 700 of any max I will take...only thing left is to add my propane grill (50#) food and clothing and the wife!

We've decided to go to local Indian Casino that has great RV park and spend two nights rather than going to Vegas...going to bring the Cat and Dog and even if we shuttle to Casino we can be back every few hours to calm the pets...Installing my Home monitor camera will allow us to monitor activity and barking. This resort is only about 1 hour from our home.

I've lost 71 pounds the last 12 weeks and can even get up and down from the loft with no problem now. Bdub...did you add and foam topping to your 70X65 queen mattress? You said full size fits well and wondering is that is because of only 6.5" mattress.

Congrats and welcome to the Intent 26M club!

I got mine in September. After having several Class C's, we decided to try an A. Now after 12 camping trips, I'm starting to get it dialed in!

I did the Cheap Handling Fix first, then the Safety Steer. I tried Bilstein shocks but took them off after one trip. They tried to disintegrate the RV! It was unbearably rough.

Some of the other mods so far are a new shower head, removed the glass shower door in favor of an adjustable rod and curtain. That added 7" of elbow room while showering and just swing it inside the shower when not in use. Huge upgrade.

Removed the dinette and put in a very comfortable reclining couch. The little table up front works great for me and the wife, so that was an easy decision.

Removed the overhead bunk and replaced it with an 18" deep shelf. Turned wasted space into fully functional storage.

I also added more kitchen checkered material to finish where Winnebago left off, then I covered it with a removable peel & stick backsplash.
I also added the same material to the bathroom counter.

I made a refrigerator latch to replace the ridiculous threaded knob.

Added stainless grab bars for the stairs. A lot of people find the stairs steep and I don't want to scrape anybody off the ground.

Under cabinet paper towel holder, stainless hooks for towels in kitchen, bath and shower.

Wire shelving in cabinets for more organized storage.

Replaced the thermostat with a digital model with better control.

I made a cord reel for the electrical cord and a metal holder for a box of gloves to tidy up the dump bay.

To further clean up the dump box, I'm adding a bumper next weekend to the rear to hold the "stinky slinky".

Along with the bumper I'll be doing a custom hitch to match the height of my Jeep Wrangler. I use the ReadyBrute Elite towbar set-up and love it.

Lined the outside storage areas with rubber to keep things from moving around.

A new mattress from Mattress Insider will be ordered next week. I put one in my last RV and it was very comfortable. I don't know how anyone can sleep on the stock one. A memory foam topper helps for sure, but it's no long term solution.

Upcoming projects...

new radio with Apple CarPlay for the wife, a long with some rear facing speakers placed up front. The current speakers aren't so great, as you know.
At this time I will figure out how to properly secure that damn center pod so it doesn't keep trying to break itself apart bouncing down the road.

Replacing the stock rear view camera with a quality unit from RearView Safety. I've used this model in all my RV's with great success. It's sitting on the bench waiting for some spare time.

The taillights are very dim compared to my last RV. I found that the manufacturer makes the same units with LED lighting. So, there's a new pair sitting on the bench waiting in line.

Some more additions that should have come from the factory are a switch for hazard lights and a warning buzzer for the headlights if left on.

2 more house batteries to run the fridge so I don't have to use the generator while dry camping at a quiet beach or mountain campground.

A custom window screen for the emergency escape hatch for better summer airflow.

It's a never ending list.

@feiter, first off congrats on 71lbs! Holy crap I bet you feel like a new man! Nice going.

On the sheets I would think the only way Full would fit if a mattress topper got added would be if you cut the topper 2-3 inches smaller than the mattress but even then it would likely be a struggle. Go with the queen size sheets if you add thickness for sure.

What brand TPMS did you go with? An hours investment seems like a no-brained to me for that piece of mind. I want a system I can add my Grand Cherokee to when it's getting towed as wel ideally.

We have some trips planned that are further out (New Orleans Jazz Fest in April/May and then the NHL Winter Classic in Dallas on New Years Day 2020 at the cotton bowl - Go Preds!). I like the idea of camping out at a nearby attraction to get acclimated and realize all the stuff we didn't think of as we stocked up in the driveway. We've got our share of casinos here within and hour or two of us...hmmm....

@ygohom you are a busy bee! I like the camera upgrade idea. I haven't spent time trouble shooting but twice now the camera has sort of whited out on me. Not a blank screen, but an oversaturated picture to the point that it's unusable. Could be the camera, but it might be the control computer for it too.

I like the idea of adding backsplash in the bathroom. I have about a panel and a half left over from the kitchen. I bet I can cut on the horizontal to spread it out more. Yup...think I'm gonna do that.

I like the idea of adding battery cells too. What's your plan there? Was reading up on the solar panels Winnebago uses on other rigs and thinking about putting that on my to do list as well.

Wow! Need to pick your brain. More details on grab bars appreciated as worried about securing. I replaced stock pioneer with model AVX-1440 NEC pioneer giving apple CarPlay and XMradio. Perfect fit and all same hardware and wiring. Recommend. Just noticed the center console problem for first time yesterday. Want to work on fix also. Let’s keep in touch
