Does anyone know if the ECM on my rig can be reprogrammed like the Cat C7?

Jeff, I'm being told that the reprograming of the ECM is only a Caterpillar thing. Sounds to me like you might have to go with the "BrakeSwitch" for your rig. Call Homer ( the guy who builds it ) and he will be happy to inform you.

It will go on my wish list. Top of the list would be a Scangauge and Steering stabilizer for economy and safety. The Brakeswitch will have to wait a bit for more resources.

A couple of years after I installed the Brake Switch on my Cummins engine I found out that a Cummins shop can reprogram the ECM to accomplish the same thing.

I'd send it back and have the programming done. When I had mine done, CAT nor Allison charged me a dime, as it took about 10 minutes each.

Why cut wires when you don't have to?
They wanted to charge me an hour of terminal time.. About $200

I said No
