OK guys, need your help again. In my water/plumbing compartment there is a black knob with a plastic line which runs to (I believe) the tag axle air compressor. There is no fluid in this plastic line and appears to be some type of air line. Can anyone help identify this gizmo and explain its purpose?
Thanks,

Peter

i don't have your model Coach but in an attempt to help, does the "Black Knob" turn as in a Valve? Does it Pull out or push in??
Could it be the drain for your fresh water tank???

Good Luck

Capt. Chet, the knob turns and is not push/pull. I followed the plastic line to the compressor for the Jet tag axle. I'm wondering if it's a way to drain air out of the air bags???? Or, maybe an overpressure relief device????
Thanks for your input, I'm still trying to figure this one out.

Did you you log on to Winnebagos WEB site and check out the parts manual for your coach?

They are available here:

http://www.winnebagoind.com/service/webcd.htm

If you can't find the info there you can call:

Winnebago Service Administration
(800)-537-1885
For inquiries related to your current vehicle, service, or dealer inquires, please have the following information ready when making your call:
"¢ Complete 12 digit serial number
"¢ Date of purchase
"¢ Selling dealers name

One final thought, on my 95 Vectra 33 RQ there was a device that could have been mistaken for a black plastic knob in the water tank area however it was the air filter holder for the rear axle air compressor.

Thanks,

WhooHooo, mystery solved!
Neil V. and Petro both hit the name on the head.
Upon closer inspection (unscrewed the darn thing) and holding it in good light, I can clearly see a filter element and air inlet (or outlet) slots in the now, formally known as a "knob", tag axle air filter.
Thanks one and all for solving the latest of many mysteries I've come across with my new-to-me 97 Adventurer (appropriately named for my learning curve...adventure-r) LOL
