I have a 2008 Suncruiser 38T with a 14' electric awning. It is equipped with a wind sensor , to retract the awning in the event of excessive wind. It can be set to different wind speeds via pushbuttons in bay below. I have it set on the lowest setting of wind, however when the wind blows, it does not work, conversely a mouse can fart at 100 yards and in it comes. Any others having the same issues or fixes?
One theory ( and untested!) is that there may be a spot of corrosion on the gizmo which controls it, making it intermittent. Have you tried using it with the control set to a slightly different point on the setting? Corrosion is a funny thing in electro-mech stuff and it can be a real pain to figure as it keeps changing.
But my though is that it might be corrosion and that lets it not work when wanted but the actual setting is way too weak/sensitive and lets the mouse idea do it at times.
I try the cheap easy fixes first!
They are push buttons set to various wind values, I’ll see if contacts are accessible and give the cleanup a try....now all I need is a bit of wind( or gas passing mouse)
