Anyone have 2015 Grand Tour/Ellipse Ultra? Pro & cons?

Hello, we currently have a 36' DP and beginning the search for bath 1/2, & tag axle coach. We would like to hear from Tour/Ellipse 2013 & newer, (&Grand/Ultra 2015) owners for help with these questions. Please and thank you in advance

Is this correct: 2015 Tour/Ellipse have LCI hydraulic jacks, but 2015 Grand Tour/Ellipse Ultra are HWH hydraulic jacks? If true, is there a pro/con to the HWH?

Also, has anyone ordered "custom" changes in 2013 & newer Tour/Ellipse? (Yes, I know WBG doesn't do / allow the degree of customization that say Newmar readily, willingly does for custom changes.). But, on factory tour last fall, and referenced by saleman last month, "some" custom changes "may" be possible? Because WBG factory has a "custom bldg" & after production line a coach goes to custom bldg which would add 3 weeks or so to completion date/delivery to dealership. And, understanding, any 'custom' request must first be approved / deemed possible by WBG factory powers that be. That said, has anyone made any 'custom' requests, and approved? Denied by WBG?

What floorplan do you have, pro & cons for what you would choose again, and not choose next time?

Dealers you would recommend for sales & / service?

Thanks so much for all tips and personal experience to help with our search.

Safe travels to all

DW and I have a 13 Tour. Bought it new at LazyDays in Dec12.

We have LCI jacks. Just had the LF replaced because it was leaking fluid. I didn't consider that to be a big deal (covered by my extended warranty).
We've had a couple of slide issues but luckily we were not fulltime yet and they were stuck in near the end of long trips. And the transfer switch quit.

We love the QD floor plan. I did away with the outside freezer and use that compartment for storage now. I don't know what changes you'd make but I've added a cabinet and a wall mounted mirror to the half bath (my wife has a lot of makeup stuff).
We use our dishwasher and washer dryer practically everyday. No issues.

I call WBGO tech support anytime I can't figure something out from the book or this forum and they're always helpful.

I don't know what I would do differently if I had to do it again.

My next project is going to be to upgrade the entry way. It's currently that black rubber/plastic stuff. I'm going to tear it out and put in hardwood. Should be pretty easy.

Love to discuss with everyone that asks me about it. PM anytime.

Be Happy,

We have had a 2011, 12 and 14 42QD Tour and now have 2015 Ellipse Ultra 42QL. We have been very pleased with each one. We bought the last two from Nicole Follman at Lichtsinn in Forest City. Ours does have the HWH jacks. We also had several modifications done at the factory after we took delivery. Please feel free to PM if you have any questions.

Larry

We've had nothing but HWY systems and have never had a problem other than one foot pad coming off due to being frozen to the ground. Put it back on by hand.

Highly recommend Roz Latta at Camping World San Antonio. Got s great deal and what little service we've had done, has been very good.

We just traded our Tiffin for a 2014 Tour QD at LaMesa in Tucson, Chris Johns, easy to work with. We were thrilled with getting a closeout price and they took care of a bad slide before we closed. One a/c was bad and they replaced that too. I love, love the floor plan and all the motorized goodies, ie. sofa, bed, excellent w/d, dishwasher and having the half bath. Storage seems more than adequate and we are almost full time. So far we've traveled from Tucson to Morgan City, La stopping here and there, two weeks and every day gets better and better. We're heading to NC and then plan to use this for the next few years of seeing our country. I looked at the Grand Tour but it was just too "fancy" for our taste and so similar to the Tour I just didn't see the value. I love the simple clean lines of our interior. As to the entry steps, yes, they need help. When its wet they don't stop any mess from entering. I plan to buy some outdoor carpet and cut to fit and velcro down. Other than that, with the built in vac and crumb floor outlet near the kitchen, its so easy to tidy up.
