I'm in Germany, so can't check, but with knob removed, no movement what so ever. Almost feels like the silver rail is solid to the bottom of the black section it sits in. Maybe take it apart someday.

747Driver Yes the awning support will slide into the black section. I was on a short ladder and had to bump the side of the black section then the silver railt slid in the black tube. Drops the outside roller about 21 inches.

Hi,
We have a 2014 35P and love it. DW loves the washer and dryer and the king size sleep number bed. We have the double door fridge w/ ice maker and love that to. We did have to have the cooling unit replaced last year. Dw uses one of the draws by the stove top as a pantry and the shelves underneath the entertainment units.
We have been to the factory to have the big slideout fixed because Camping World messed it up. It works fine now and they even provided us with locks to lock it will traveling.
We have done a few modifications to the unit:
1 - AC Receptacles in Sanitary bay and water pump bay so that we can plug in a 60W bulb in cold weather to keep it warm without running the Propane furnace.
2 - Installed 2 AC receptacles in power bay to monitor each leg of the 220 volts coming into RV and plugged in 2 volt meters and polarity testers
3 - Installed 4 exterior lights on sides of coach for directional signals.
4 - Installed 2 4" PVC pipes under coach and painted black for sewer hoses, one 20' and one 10'. We also use the blue push on connectors.
There are a few other modification I want to do but will have to wait for money and time.
This is my fourth Winnebago and we love the products even though there are a few problems and we believe that the quality is there and Winnebago Tech Support is super.

I like the idea of adding the AC receptacles and PVC pipe. Great to hear you like your 35P!

Thanks, I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was trying to push down on the slide parts vs just pulling down on the low pivot point. Just pushing was working directly against the actuator.

Just finished our first dry camping trip with the 35P. First issue, frig runs on propane 24/7. Plenty cold at a setting of 7, but burns full time, even in the middle of the cool nite. Gonna be a project. Spent some time looking up NorCold frig issues.

Water leaks were an issue. The metal clamps on white water hose around the pump seem to be the issue. You have some 90 degree plastic fittings with the white hose clamped by the factory easy squeeze types. No adjustment seemed to fix it. I ended up replacing two so far. That was all the campsite store had. I've had this kind of clamps before and never an issue, but the white garden hose seems to shrink over time. RV is in the shop, but plan on changing all of the squeeze types on the white hose when it gets home. Good news, easy access.

We were at a dealer to drop off our rig and did a tour of some RV's. We went into a 40' DP with the slides in. Wow, you could not get to the back of the RV. The couch and recliner completely blocked access. Our 35P is tight, but usable. We are getting used to that compared to our '03 33V, which is VERY usable with slides in.

BTW, we are two months beyond the one year warranty and Winne is doing the repairs at no cost, no arguments. We have a roof delaminating issue (10 year warranty), damage to floor from bedroom slide incident by previous owners, Infotainment system that locks up and shows gibberish, and jack control panel going blank.

I fixed the shower myself. No sealant on the bottom edge, water flowed out freely. It's not a difficult job and felt I would do a neater job. The enclosure is in a U channel mounted on the walls. Three screws, each side and it can be lifted out. Beware, the screws that hold the channels to the shower wall, also hold the shower enclosure walls to the bathroom walls.

Glad Winnebago came through for you on the "just outside of" warranty issues! Yes, I'm a little concerned about the tightness with slides in, but most owners think it's still workable. I'm also a little concerned about the amount of space on both sides of the bed. I was also wondering if anyone wishes they had an option for a residential refrigerator, or if they are happy with the large Norcold unit.

HI,

We are happy with the room in the 35P when slides are in. The main thing is you can use the bathroom with no problem and still stop on the road and make lunch and eat in the dinette. There are a lot of coaches where people can not use the bathroom until they put the slide out out.
As for the shower problem, I caulked around the entire enclosure as I had noticed some gaps however it didn't leak. I also re-tightened the screws that hold it in. Right now I have a squeak from the shower floor but not all the time and have to check it out.
When you own any kind of motorhome even a WBGO you have to do a lot of your own repairs due to constant flexing of coach. Imagine if you drove your stick house down the road.
We like our double door fridge with the ice maker. Sometimes we turn the ice maker off and use the compartment to store more frozen food. DW loves the convection/microwave even though it is too high and she sometimes has to use foot stool.
One of the great points also is the washer/dryer and the sleep number king size bed.
All in all I still think WBGO builds a fine coach and their service tops including all their techs.

: dance:

Thanks for the additional comments. We are very close to deciding to order one built to our specs, so your comments are appreciated!

Question for ya? Do you negotiate the price just like when they have it on the lot? I would guess you have less leverage since you are special ordering. How many months to delivery is typical?

I'll let you know how it goes! I do already have a price which I believe is a fair discount from list. I could have probably done better, but this keeps it local. So I'll post again after everything is final.

Gonna be exciting for you. With my luck, the day after mine was finished, they would announce a bunch of big improvements mid production?

What colors you going with? Ours is Platinum and is what we would have chosen, lighter colors on the top part of RV for the heat issues of Cali. Not as "majestic" looking, but oh well.

I noticed in the 2017 brochure, it shows the slide drive on the bottom of the 37F passenger front slide. Is that the case for the 2017 35P?

We took your advice on color, and we both like the light grey "pewter Pearl" for the outside color. We like warmer colors inside and will go with the "Tribeca". Not really thrilled with any of their choices for 2017...

Haha...I will probably have the same luck and they will discontinue the contour windows mid year. :-)

Not sure about the slide, but it seems they fixed the problem. Of, course, I never had a problem with my current 2013 Winnebago and the old Lippert slides (knock on wood).

Adventurer 35P owners - likes and dislikes?

I got a call today saying the guy I was working with and his backup are in Canada for some factory thing, and they would have another guy call tomorrow and take the order. If it's the same price I am good, otherwise, if hidden charges are added I'll likely wait till later and go with someone else.

We have the queen air bed and enjoy the extra space on the side of the bed. Saw some Kings and there is little, to no room on the forward side of the bed between the sliding door and bed, on the kings.

BTW, I do have an issue. I am used to the generator being on the drivers side. Much quieter when BBQing. With it on the passenger side, it is VERY noticeable, not just a distant noise.
