2018 vista 31bh Tv Signal Amplifier

I have a 2018 vista 31bh. I cannot find the TV signal amplifier. I looked in all of the Winnebago suggested places, such as the overhead cabinet or mounted on the wall near the TV. Can’t find it. Any suggestions?

ok. on our King Jack there is a switch on the base of the antenna itself.

According to King Jack that only turns on the tuning system so you point the antenna in the best direction. They said there should be a in-line amplifier. In my prior I RV it was white on the wall plate where I could turn it on or off. In fact when I would hook up to camp ground cable I would have to make sure the amplifier was off. The manual That came with the motorhome also showed that there should be an amplifier.

I do not think Winnebago installed a signal amplifier. My manual also shows that there may be an amplifier but the manuals are sometimes covering multiple models and options. I looked for an in-line amplifier in our coach as well and it seems not to exist.

I would agree with you that there is no amplifier.

There is an amplifier built into the King Jack that receives 12 volts to power it thru the coax. Without 12 volts applied it's a terrible antenna. With 12 volts applied it can get a TV station up to about 30-40 miles away. If you can operate the switch on the base and the lights work then it has power. If no lights then the King Jack is not getting 12 volts coming in on it's coax.

The antenna's coax gets 12 volts inserted by a wall plate with a small button with green LED. In many 2018 Vista's it is in the drop down A/V panel above the entry door of your RV. If you don't have that it's in an overhead cabinet where your Sat Rcvr / Cable Box etc. would go.

In our 2019 Sunstar 29VE, the button is on a coax input panel where the satellite receiver would go (if we had one) above the entry door. See attached photo.

This is the same as my ‘17 31BE. The coax switches between coax and antenna, and the roof antenna has an handle for rotating the antenna, an on/off switch and a dial for strength adjustment.

In my 2019 Sunstar the King Jack antenna is powered from the TV distribution panel above the entry door. There is a 12 volt plug in the back of the switch box which supplies the power to the antenna. If the antenna has blue and red lights on the base of it then it is getting the 12v supply and is amplified. If no lights then the plug may have fallen out of the back of the switch box like mine had!
