A '17 Vista with "big wind noise" is most likely missing one or more of the drivers or passengers side window weep hole covers. You'll find a row of plastic covers under the drivers or passengers side windows that cover small slits in the lower trim. Those are weep holes to let any water that gets in behind the trim around the window escape.

The weap holes have plastic covers that snap in and when missing even one cover it will create the sound of an open car door window at 70 mph.

When buying replacements - get extras they fall out often. And note they come in left and right hand versions.

I get mine at Amazon but they are sold out right now. It's part number is Se-Gi 6162.01 Window Weephole Cover.

Thank u. That is exactly what I’ve been seeing others say. Mine are missing on both sides. I’ll tape them until I can get the right part.

Here’s what they look like and a photo of a weep hole missing a cover:

I fixed the bottom of the screen door by running a bead of clear silicone caulk (bathtub caulk) around that bottom panel on the inside of the door. That panel is floating in the frame and rattles. The caulking stopped the noise and has not effected anything negatively.

I don’t know about any noise come from the microwave.

Tape works well as a short term fix.

When I kept losing the covers I finally put a dab of silicone caulk on the inside edge of the covers to anchor them in place and haven’t lost another since. But they would still be removable if I needed to do so.

Wow, 40 bucks for two of those, and I need one on the passenger side and three on the driver side. Guess I'm going to go with some Gorilla tape and see what kind of difference that makes before I decide whether to drop $120 on the covers. Thanks for the tip!

No, they aren't $40 for two.

Here's good link from a trusted source. They are $1.70 EACH.

This is the link for both the Driver's Side and Passenger's Side:

I like your price a lot more, but the link doesn't seem to work

Edit: Never mind, I figured it out.

if you have one you can make them with 3d printer. If you have a 3d or know someone. We usually find the 3d part on the internet. You can build them with Auto cad. My son prints items for me all of the time.
I have auto cad was a draftsman for 45 years.
Real inexpensive and fun to watch.
If you dont have the printer or access then it i s better to buy them. these printers have come down but still pricey.

I am missing all of the weep hole covers and some electrical tape proved hat was my issue. What a difference! Thanks fir the info and I will get as many as I can ASAP. I’ll try the silicone on the door. It still baffles me that the manufacturer of the doors, builds them this way. This is my second class A and same issue. As far as the microwave, that sucker is a demo rattling noise maker. I’ll figure that one out. I was much more concerned about the wind noise. It “blows” me away how much noise those little holes generate. Thanks for the tips.

If you just bought your Vista from a dealer I’m going to guess that their parts department doesn’t have any in stock so the staff there took all of yours to use on other RVs, or worse to sell.

I was missing one on my RV when I bought it. I complained about wind noise and the salesman said the mirror just needed adjustment. I kind of blew it off at the time but on the way home (700 miles away) I pulled off the interstate to “adjust my mirror” myself. That’s when I saw those two little holes. Luckily I had some tape with me for that 700 mile drive.

I could not believe how much noise one made. I can’t imagine if they all were missing.

A pillow stuffed in the microwave helps quite a bit.

I was aware that some of my weep hole covers were missing, just wasn't aware that all that wind noise could be coming from those little slots. Can't wait for our next trip now to see (hear) the difference. Lichtsinn called today, replacements are on the way.

Unfortunately, now that the wind noise is gone, there will be 7 other rattles that will now drive you crazy.

Headphones and a little AC/DC!

No doubt but 7 is not too bad . Never going to be luxury-car quiet - but then again I've never been in a big diesel with air suspension?

On our '17 Vista, we found it was the glass plate in the microwave rattling down the road. Our solution was to wrap the plate in an oversized kitchen towel for traveling.

One of my worst noise makers is the manual extending foot rests on the Rest Easy sofa. They rattle and rock side to side. And we NEVER use those silly things. I’m tempted to anchor them to quite them.
