2016 Itasca Meridian uncomfortable bed

I own a 2016 Itasca Meridian 40r and wondering if anyone else has complained about comfort of the bed in the main living area. The couch itself is fine but the converted bed is extremely uncomfortable. Has anyone made any upgrades to improve comfort.

Is it an air mattress? That's what we have in our discovery and (I'm told) it's very uncomfortable. You might try a 3" memory foam topper on top of the mattress, but then you have to find a place to store that

No it's the actual cushions of the couch that form the mattress

Our 40U should have the same couch and my son when he visits would rather sleep on it then in the house. I have not tried it my self though. Are you opening it fully, or just using the power recline position, because that's all my son uses.

Haven't tried ours in the Journey 40R, but it looks really uncomfortable when made out. Would assume that some sort of mattress topper would help, but then you would have to find a place to store it.

Our sofa is extremely uncomfortable. I purchased a air mattress to use on it when we need an extra bed.

Thanks KatieVL, That's exactly what I was thinking. It's amazing that you papa small fortune for a top of the line motorhome and Winnebago can't make a comfortable second bed.
