2015 Vista Removing Dash

Does anyone know how to remove the dash in a 2015 Vista? We want to hardwire our TPMS and a couple other things. I have given up trying to look at the Parts Manual, it just won't work on a 64bit machine.

I don't know if this will help or not, I have a 64 bit machine and the only way I could get the Parts Manual to work was to use the Internet Explorer browser.

I tried that yesterday and I couldn't get it to work. Winn. said the only one it works with is the IE 32bit which won't work on a 64bit machine. I'll keep trying. Maybe one day they will update it to work on today's machines and browsers.

I think it is wonderful the Winn. has all this online, great mfg. from that point but the files need to be updated/maintained or the work they put into supporting the online is a waste.

Did you download the Cortona viewer? I have a 32/64 bit HP laptop running Windows 7 and it works fine with the online catalog.

This may help the apple users. I use these two links with my iPhone. The diagrams link, once I see the drawing I am looking for I touch the screen and push view in iBooks. Once in iBooks I can view from any apple device using iBooks app (saves across all my apple devices once synced)

Sue46, I'm running Windows 7, Explorer 11 on a desktop. Took a lot of tweaking to get it to work. Have the same software on a new laptop and I can get it to load but cannot rotate the drawings.
Anyway looks like there are screws from the outside around the front of the cover, two above the instrument cluster and two hidden behind the switch plates on the sides.

Thanks Grant and Pat,

I just tried it on an old 32bit machine with IE my neighbor loaned me. I can't even display the page with all the manuals listed on that machine.

Is your machine 64 or 32 bit? Do you remember what kind of tweeking you did.

Winn. IT was suppose to call me back but never has. I called them a 2nd time, said they would get back tome, never have.

Oh well..............

Thaks,

Sue

Sue46, my desktop is running window 7 Professional 64 bit and I'm using Windows Explorer 11 in compatibility mode for Winnebago.com and set the security as per the guidelines. Have you read the guidelines on the parts catalog page and installed the viewer. Foxfire is not supported with the viewer as per there guidelines.
Parts Catalog
NOTE: for anything other than the late model parts catalog using the 3D viewer all you need is an Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you are using Google it will not load the Adobe reader anymore and you have to enable the Google reader.

I have downloaded IE and set it up. Winnie IT says Firefox should work also. Both don't work.

Yes, I have followed the documentation(and just verified) and all I get is a blank screen when I try to load the the manual. I sent IT a note yesterday again so hopefully they will call me on Monday. I actually asked them just to send me the 2D file for the manual. My husband is a tinkerer so to know this manual is available but not accessible frustrates him to no end. I'll keep playing with it, maybe I will stumble upon the correct combination to access it. For now, the diagram you sent for taking the dash apart will keep him occupied when we bring the MH home again.

My neighbors machine, which I assumed was 32bit because of age is 64bit. This machine is 5 years old so I guess 32bit must be really ancient machines.

Question for you: when it asks for your serial number what do you enter? I have had to guess along and finally figured out what I think it wants but maybe that is the problem. My entire serial number is 10E80T283479, what the screen accepts(at least doesn't reject) is 10T83479. This made no sense to me but when I sent Winne a screen shot and asked they never answered. It will not accept the entire serial number, nor the last 5 digits as other parts of the Winnie system accept.

Thanks for your patience and help.

Sue

Sue46 You only need to enter your serial number to get the color part lookup (tells you actual part number with color code) to work.
The short serial number:
10 = Winnebago
T = 2015
283479 = the build sequence number for your coach
From your Service Parts List:

WINNEBAGO SERVICE PART ALPHA LIST
10T83479 WFE36Y MFG DATE: 06/11/14

OK, that is what I enter, took a while to figure it out though. I am giving up on playing around with this in IE. I can't even get it to display the basic parts screen in IE(where you enter the serial number). I guess I will need to wait(and hope) for Winnie IT to call me back.

Thanks for all your help.

You are only supposed to select the year and put only the last 5 digits of the Winnebago serial number, not the entire number. I put in your last five and the parts list came right up.

ChasA, yes that is correct for the Service Parts List, Sue46 is attempting to load the 3D drawings of there coach which requires the short WBGO serial number to get the color codes for selected parts.

Sue,

I was having same issues as you. As posted here I tried compatibility mode (under tools in IE) and it came up working. I have Win7 64bit with IE 11.

I also had a 2011 Vista, not sure what changes between your model and that one but to get behind the dash I just removed the large dome cover on the drivers side and I had easy access to everything from there, I even added a extra 12V receptacle.

Thanks Zman- I hav tried compat. mode and it is a no go. I can't get the 2d or the 3d in IE or Firefox. In Firefox I can at least get to the screen, jost nothing there. In IE the screen doesn 't even show.

I have made progress. I have it limping along. Not sure at all what did it. But here is shat I did.

1) On Google, searched for why website would not open, found a long article with lots of steps including reregistering the ieproxy.

2) Followed the list and still didn't work

3) for some reason decided to copy the url from Firefox to IE since it wouldn't come up, a miracle, the manual came up, I then allowed the 2d/3d viewers and it is now working, I believe, need to do more testing

4) This is a jury-rig but at least I have it working.

Thanks to all. If any of you are having problems like I did let me know and I'll send you the address of the article.

Grant,

As part of my learning curve I decided to go after the dash since I had a picture of that. I found the dash, but nothing in the detail you have posted. I can get a picture of the dash, but no picture of the screws etc. Am I still having problems or am I doing something wrong?

does anyone know if these files can be reviewed on a Mac? I'm trying to find out how to remove the stereo in a 2015 Vista 31KE and I can't download the files.

Ohsirr, There guidelines for the 3D software said they only support Windows. All of the other drawings are pdf files and you should be able to look at them. The 3D drawing does not show much on the radio, here is link to the manual
