2015 Adventurer 35P with leaking basement compartment

The basement compartment on the curb (right) side that is in front of the rear wheels and contains the water pump leaks when I drive in the rain. It actually gets really soaked and I think it has shorted out my water pump. I have put caulking on all the seams in the wheel well behind the compartment and also on the removable panel above the door opening. The problem is that this compartment is open above for water pipes and it is also open to an area above the water heater next to it.

Do any other 35P owners have this problem? I just can't see where water is coming in.

Does it make any difference whether the rain is coming from the front, side, or rear of the coach when you travel?

Are there other possibilities for the water entry (frig vent, lp tank, etc)

Sometimes water "travels" a long ways before you see the effects ... I had a leak in a ceiling of my stick house ... I had to crawl up in the attic to see where the water was entering the house in order to fix the problem because it was not entering directly above where the leak appeared on the ceiling.

follows, Check again and see if you have the access panel behind your hot water tank see picture below. Note I have not fixed the gap in mine yet.
I also sprayed undercoat in the wheel to help stop the leaks.
Along with the seam not sealed in the compartment behind the right rear wheel I found a large gap in the door seal at the bottom letting water in.
I just noticed that ring lug hanging in the air will have to check that out when it warms up a bit more.

follows, a good way to check for leaks in the compartments is when it is dark outside put a bright light in the compartment and look for light leaks on the outside.

Hi,

I have a 2014 35P and haven't noticed any leaks in my compartments. One thing I didn't look for was access to the rear of water heater which I will check out when it stops raining.
There have been no leaks except a minor drip from small window above drivers door which I fixed.
If I see that lug pictured I will let you know where it goes.

Tom-NC, the lug is the ground for the solar panel controller and I don't have the solar panel so I guess they chose not to connect it.
