2014 tour crack above slide

When waxing our 2014 tour (QD) I notices this crack above and below the slide. This is at the back of the front slide on the passenger side. (Not superslide) Anyone ever seen or heard of this? Slide appears to work as it should and not in any type of bind.

I don't know about the cause or frequency but the crack near the slide topper is bad enough to allow water to enter the wall. I would get it sealed up temporarily as soon as possible until you can have it repaired permanently.

I've looked at a lot of Tours/Ellipses and not seen anything like this. Looks like a stress crack that is seen more commonly on the front ends of 5vers. If you're anywhere near Forest City, IA I think that would be your best bet for 'cause, effect and repair.' Recommend you not let this go much longer.

Thanks, we keep it stored inside so it’s out of the rain. I spoke with the dealership we bought it from (Lazy Days) today and we are supposed to have it there Monday. We live in Va so are about as far from there as we are Winnebago. I had thought about the factory but wasn’t sure whether to go there or to the dealer first. We bought extended warranty but not sure if this will fall under that or not?

Skip the dealer and go right to Forest City. IT may fall under Winnebago's structure warranty. But they will be far more skilled at fixing this then Lazy Daze.

Dealing with the people in Forest City is a different world then dealing with dealers.

You can try calling Winnebago and see if they have an opening, but you can also just show up and they will fit you in when they can. Be prepared for an extended stay.

https://www.lichtsinn.com/ is just down the road from the factory. I have read many times that they do a better job and cover factory warranties. Again, call for an appointment.
