2013 vista heater

We went camping this week in east Texas. I had to turn the heat on for the first time and noticed that the air conditioner fan ran all the time even when the furnace was not running DUMB ? is this normal.

Did you have the tstat on electric heat or gas?

When our heat pumps quite due to cold temps, and gas comes on, the unit compressor will turn off, but the fan will keep running. Dumb, I know, but talks with both RVP and Winnebago confirm this is the way it works.

But, if you have it on gas heat, then it should not work that way.

Make sure the fan is in the auto position (AU) in the window of the thermostatat. I'm in 35-40 degree wx night time in VA and TN the last few nights. The air fan does not run when the furnace is on.

If you have the heat pumps, they will not work under 33 degrees. Also as mentioned, the fan will still run....also as mentioned, make sure the fan setting is on auto

I do not believe there is a fan setting when in the electric heat mode, at least not on mine. Only in the cooling mode.

BBQ Judge is right. Press the on/off/mode button till fan is highlighted, and then the + button till the fan is on Auto mode. I had the same question, and that'll do it!

Are you looking at the one in the Bedroom or the Living room? The one in the Bedroom only has Heat & Cool. The one in the Living room will normally have all of the controls. It will also have the Elec. Heat if you have it.

Also it would help even more if you filled out your Signature.

Congrats on getting it to work the way you want it to. I, too, have found the people on this board to be a great resource. Happy RVing!

I have found that people on the boards and the Owners Manual are valuable tools. Remember there is the Supplemental manuals also. They contain the information from the various manufactures brochures, but just all rolled up into a much nicer format. No 20 or 30 different size pamphlets to break out and read and lose.
