I think you are just having a good day check back when you have more to report.

I just completed 1900 miles at 9.3

Hi rream

The prior post with the 11.3 mpg was our return trip from Tifton Ga. to Apopka Fl. Friday 5-10-13 with no tow vehical.

The day before from Apopka Fl to Lax Ga. We averaged 56 mph for 4 hours and 49 minutes at 10.9 mpg with no tow vehical.

5/5/13 one hour and 15 minutes from Cocoa Fl. to Apopka Fl. average speed was 58mph at 10.5 mpg towing a Honda Accord.

12/19/2012 from Forest City Iowa to Apopka Fl. we were at 8+.

02/10/13 Lax Ga to Apopka Fl. we averaged 70mpg and got 6.8mpg. no tow vehical.

02/15/13 a 6 hour and 11 minute trip from Apopka Fl. to Stone Mountain Ga. we averaged 68mph towing a 2500hd and got 6.1mpg.

We are trying different things that might make a difference and it has paid off so far.

The two biggest factors so far have been setting the cruise at 58mph and lighting up that amazing red mode light thanks to Allison!

Jbmsr: If you ever come out west, in the Rockies, pulling a towed....Man, are you in for a surprise.

Driving on the straight and level, at sea level may not be the best mpg indicator.

I do believe that you did attain those numbers.

I have a pre DEF 2010 Tour and the best I have seen is 8.8 mpg w/toad. Typically get around 7-7.5 mpg @ 65 towing my Grand Cherokee. Maybe I need to drive slower!
