2013 Tour HDMI 4x4

Apologize if asked and answered. I've searched and unable to locate anything. The IR occasionally stops working. I understand the IR will move from the front of the direct tv boxes while traveling but we have been stopped for days and it will suddenly stop. Usually we turn everything off and back onthen it works. We turn the tvs on monthly when at home and today nothing. The remotes work fine when pointed at the boxes in the cabinet. Any suggestions or links to previously answered are greatly appreciated

Thanks ditto. Tried that several times today. Will see what dealer says as we have other items on the list too.

I have the same problem on my 13 Tour. It seems to happen on the lounge tv. It will work from the couch one time the the next I to get up and put the remote about 6" from the ir then the next time it will work from the couch again. Very frustrating talk to the dealer they said change the batteries in the remote. that didn't work. Let us know what you find out.

of course it's working once we get it down to the dealer so no update. Really sad because last repair in May, they were fixing something on the door hinge overhead and now the door doesn't shut and they can't seem to fix it. Purchased Nov 30th 2013 and have only had it out twice. We are never going to get the bugs out if it spends most of the time in the shop.

I turn the HDMI box every time not in use. Mine lasted about 1 year. There is a lot of heat in that area. I bought two small quiet fans and place them in that entertainment box. Leave them running 24 X 7. I am waiting on a replacement HDMI box, 3 months. It is coming from China on a slow boat. Same problems with IR'S.

Our IR system quit working on all TVs. They couldn't get it working at Forest City and ordered me a new HDMI box. Said it would be 6 - 9 weeks for delivery. Found if I open the front door on the entertainment rack where the HDMI is, about a quarter of the way and point my remote at the door from the couch it reflects off the door and operates the system.

Check and make sure that the IR remotes are in front of the IR receivers on the various boxes. The little IR receiver button that you point the remote at in the LR transfers that request to the other end that is in the cabinet. If the little transmitter is not in the vicinity of the of the IR receiver on the Satellite/Blueray or what ever then it will not work.

I had the same problem, found every time this was happening I had the door open to the cabinet where the boxes were located. close the door everything works fine. With the door open to much light coming in and it effects the ir. happens on the outside tv reel bad this I have to get up on hold the remote up to the ir switch.

Does your DTV receiver have a RF option (check menu settings). Our HD DVR has a RF option and I enabled it, no need to point the remote in the right direction. Works outside and in the bedroom too. Your DTV remote must also be a RF version.

Exactly the same in my tour 2013. Remote works well in bedroom. I have to open the door to HDMI box center and point remote at that are and living room TV then works. Wow price tag of 360,000 you think Winnebago would get it right. My 2012 35F Sunstar had no problems to speak of.
