2011 Via Newby Furnace help please!

First post here!

I just purchased my first RV, a 2011 Via and I need some help with the furnace as we're getting some wild result sorting weather here in Oregon. I'm plugged in to shore power and when I turn on the furnace (lp turned on) I get cold air coming out of both the floor and ceiling vents. When I'm using the battery setting the furnace functions normally with heat coming out of the floir vents.

I must have missed some setting, etc for the furnace to not be functioning while on shore power.

Thank you and any direction would be greatly appreciated!

The furnace works on shore power - so it's not that.

I'm guessing you have a Heat Pump Air Conditioner and your thermostat is defaulting to that. But that's just a guess.

Read your Operator's Manual for setting the thermostat. You should be able to force it to skip the Heat Pump and go right to the LP Furnace.

Here's a link to the online PDF of your Operator's Manual:

And a photo of how to select the correct heat source:

Welcome to the forum Scott.
Please give us the model of your coach. This is needed for most troubleshooting problems because of the options available per model.
One thing to understand if you don't already. If you set the Electric on for the heatpump to function and the temperature is set more than 3* above the room temperature, both the heat pump and the gas furnace will come on. It takes a while to feel heat from the floor vents and the heatpump may not put out heat if the outside temperatures are below 39*. Just wanted to mention this to help prevent any confusion.
Once you select Gas on the thermostat you should not see any functioning difference between the power sources.
I might be confused here. Please explain "When I'm using the battery setting..." What battery setting?
