2011 34 foot Stabilizing Jack Alarm

Hi everyone

Been having a bit of an issue with the stabilizers. For whatever reason the auto level kind of works. 3 of the 4 jacks deploy, the rear passengers side deploys but is very slow. So unfortunately I have been having to use manual operations which works.

I can store the jacks using auto store but again the left rear passenger side stores very slowly.

Even though all jacks are stored the alarm does not turn off.. Any suggestions?

Thanks again in advance

Rick

Check the reservoir level. If low check hose fittings and lines for a leak. I had the issue while driving when the leveler alarm came on. Stopped and checked that they were still up, reset it and alarm cleared for about 10 miles. Drove home (6hrs on a holiday in the middle of nowhere) and took it to the shop the following week. Found one hose had a rub through leak and had to be replaced. I regularly check my reservoir levels before any trip and carry a spare quart of fluid.

This is what I do as well. My pump and reservoir are in front of my forward most drivers side compartment. I have a bottle of ATF, gloves and a funnel in that compartment. I need to top up the reservoir about once every 15 jack operations. Not much ATF is needed each time, maybe 4oz, but I have a small leak in a jack seal and carrying the fluid is necessary.

I should get the seal replaced, but it has not gotten worse…yet.

Thanks I’ll look at those things you discussed. Is there a specific kind of hydraulic fluid that you used?

Your Operator's Manual should detail this for you. It's just ATF (automatic transmission fluid). Mine calls for Type A Dexron III OR Mercon IV . Which are mostly newer Ford/Chevy fluids. You'll find cheaper ATFs out there, I just buy a Valvoline brand that meets both specs (Dexron IV and Mercon V) and that's all.
