We bought one brand new and traded it on our present motor home. It was great and the V10 Ford engine took us 22,000 trouble free miles.

We have a 2006 Voyage 33v on the Ford chassis which we purchased last year. So far, so good. Nicely equipped unit. Check the caulked seam between the roof and sidewalks for separation. Good luck!

Regardless of the chassis Winnebago is an enduring brand in the industry. Many in this forum report good support from Winnebago for parts and service. I have found the online documentation from Winnebago helpful from wiring schematics to parts illustrations. Our shower liner had to be replaced. The repair shop said generic liners wouldn't fit and Winnebago parts were required, if they were an orphan brand this would have been a challenge. All in all although my 2008 Winnebago Sightseer is new to me I am content with my purchase and anticipate many years of use provided I maintain what I have. Time will tell.

Hello Dean K,

Our history is we started with a 20 year old rig to get our "sea-legs" and fell in love with RV'ing. Got to Las Cruces NM and traded for a 07 Vista, 2 years later traded for a 07 Voyage and have never looked back.

I can string my own venetian blinds so I'm somewhat handy but not mechanically gifted. Dropped by the visitor's center in Forest City to have the little "stuff" done and they were outstanding. Other than that, I have had not one problem that didn't fall within the usual maintenance category.

Took the rig to Alaska in 2011 (from Florida) and it performed wonderfully. We are currently touring the Northeast with a stop in Iowa for the July GNR (Grand National Rally).

The difference between the Vista chassis 19.5" tires and Voyage chassis 22.5" is night and day as far as ease of driving and getting the big bus ride. Once we decided we were going to RV for awhile, it was a good step up. Also, I've heard of some complaints about basement a/c. I have not had one problem with mine.

Hope this has been helpful. May the angels direct your wheels and keep you safe.

Phil

I have a 2007 Voyage 35A. Ford chassis. I have had zero trouble with the engine. Had a slide issue (well still have it but just have it hard wired with a switch outside...dont ask LOL) I upgraded from a 30ft Fleetwood Storm and the difference in the ride on the highway is amazing. I am a single solo female traveler that has had very few issues. I live in it part of the time while I am working. IF I ever get to Iowa I will have my slide worked on but for now it is totally dependable.

We have a 2006 Voyage. The main problem we have had with it is the dreaded Winnebago windshield leak problem due to rust. Had the windshields replaced about 4 years ago, and no problem since. We love it!

I had a 2008 Voyage 38J. Bought it new. A great rig on the Workhorse with the 8.1 engine. Never had a serious problem with it. I had the SteerSafe and Banks system installed just because I wanted the improved handling and power.
If I hadn't seen my Meridan, I would still have it
