2008 Winnebago Journey 39Z Radiator

I have a damaged radiator that can't be repaired and looking for new or used replacement radiator. I was quoted $1,650 and 8 weeks delivery from Freightliner. All other Google searches have come up empty. Any help appreciated.

My OEM numbers on the radiator are: VAB1040239 and VAB1003663. I was also told VAB1102452 works as well.

Thanks,
Kevin

I own a shop and we use to send radiators out for repairs. You may check with a local Radiator repair facility. Also you can search for US radiator see what they have. Obviously searching the internet with model and part number you may find it

Keep the faith

Years ago when I thought I might need a radiator, I did extensive searching and found there are many universal rads much much less expensive then the OEM rads. Especially compared to Freightliners prices. I had a FL chassis at the time and it turned out I didn't need a rad but I'd found a shop that could handle replacement modifications like welding in brackets to suit the universals that I'd found and they were happy to do the work if I decided to do it.

I also found that RV Salvage yards had used rads much less expensive then new.

When the bill get that high, I never hesitate to tell them I will do some checking and get back to them.
My recent experience was a lower radiator hose which left me feeling hosed!
The first estimate was around $600 which left me stunned!
As it was only a small hole and leaking slow enough, I took it to other shops and got estimates from the 5-600 range down to $200 and change for doing the same job!
It did turn out to be a difficult job as that car required the finder to be removed to get access!
But it does pay to check on prices when it is not a high tech job of any sort. One place quoted the hose alone at near $100! That seemed a bit high for a Ford Focus .....
