2007 Journey Hydraulic Fittings

Hello everyone I've seen threads on this issue before. Here's what's going on. My hydrulic leveling system is leaking at the pump unit. I have gotten in there and cleaned the years of gunk off and removed lines to gain access to and be able to tighten the fittings and a couple were loose but after doing all this I still have a leak which I suspect is coming from the fitting swivels. So my question is this are the original factory installed hydraulic lines long enough to remove and replace the fittings and reinstall? Thanks for your assistance and advice.

If they have extra more than likely the "service loops" will be by the jacks or very close to the pump. My big foot system really only had one hose that was long and the loop was by the jack because with all the hoses heading to the pump unit makes it tight there.

My pleasure hoses are pretty easy to get and replace. It;s just time and messy after they have hydraulic oil in them. Unhook the high point or raise the hose opening as high as you can and drain the hose first. A place that makes hoses will have plastic caps to screw in to minimize the dripping. More than likely they are JIC 1/4" fittings.

Often such leaks are coming from the ferrules where the hose fittings are swaged to the hoses so make sure you are correct in suspecting the swivel fittings. If it is the ferrules, you can order exact replacement hoses from HWH (I'm assuming HWH is the manufacturer). I don't know about the jacks but, with HWH slides, some hoses may seem excessively long and tied up in bundles. This is by design in order to ensure synchronization of paired cylinders. Don't be tempted to tidy things up with shorter hoses. Exact replacements are the way to go.
