If one was to purchase an Itasca Sunova 34A, would you get the Video Camera System side-mounted cameras, so when you turn on your blinker the cameras show that side of the RV?

We have 'em....kinda like 'em....it's good for backing up, but I use the mirrors for changing lanes when driving....

You should get some more responses on side cameras here if your title includes "side cameras"......

I thought it they help I might as well get them. I don't think I would rely on them only but it would be another visual for that little Geo Metro.

They are worth it if you ask me. I use the mirrors plenty, but they help out when making lane changes and sometimes just to see what is going on. I'm glad I have them on mine rig. Best of all my wife likes them!

Is this bccsrc?

Guess I will have to call and find out how much they are to add on to my custom order. We are going with a Workhorse Chassis. I might as well add them on. It's just one more visual tool.

Why do you ask Steve?

I don't have them but wouldn't mind having them, though mainly for parking. The OEM mirrors do a great job of allowing you to see either side of the MH while changing lanes. You can never have too much information though when want to change lanes...

Brandon,

Glad to have you over here. Going to ditch the Hurricane I take it. Still working with the same dealer or are you working with Olinger?

Yup! I would like to do something else with it but I wouldn't get much of a trade in on it.

There is no way I would go back to Gresham RV.
We went over to where we should have went the first time, Olinger.

Can you send Private Messages on IRV2?

Hey everyone!

I have the side cameras and think they are fine. Originally I thought they might come in handy when backing up/launching my boat. We'll find out soon!

So can you choose to have them on when backing, or do they only come on when your blinker is on?

I'm pretty sure you can over ride it at anytime by the use of the video source selection button on the monitor - and maybe by use of the turn signals. I've always used the main camera when backing though.

I was just thinking in a tight spot it would be nice to be able to see on that side by just hitting a button on the monitor.

Where are the side cameras mounted on the Itasca?

The video monitor allows you to choose camera one, two, or three (both sides and rear). They are located just under the rearview mirrors.

Here is a photo, you can see Jason is right, directly under the mirrors.

The Olinger Finance guy said he submitted the order yesterday but hasn't got a confirmation of when it will be off the production line.

I don't think he likes me much, he must still be sore from when I made the deal and saved myself .50% interest.

I told him "Deal or No Deal"

Yes, if person you're sending to allows them. Log in, click on "user's name" click on "view public profile" click on "send private message." Not sure if there is another way.
