The bedroom slide mechanism on my Sunova is pretty similar to a lot of the Winnebago / Itasca models, with the bedroom slide mechanism and rails mounted inside the bed-frame and under the bed. With my other slides, the rails are easily accessible from under the motorhome and slide; what's the best and proper way to lube the bedroom slide?
Not sure which slide mechanism is used on the Sunova. If it is Lippert, there are a number of Youtube videos that demonstrate how to lube them. Just Google "Winnebago Lippert Slide" and they will show up.

RTegarini, your slide unit is a Kwikee brand which is now owned by Power Gear. See if you can find a model number then go to there web site. Also check your literature bag should have some info there. http://www.powergearus.com/

You are not supposed to lube Kwikee or Power Gear rack and pinion mechanisms at all.
Not sure that the groaning noise it's making when sliding in or out would be consistent with that kind of recommendation. It sounds a lot different than when new.
I've already tried that, but thank-you. I don't get the slide-out groan from the rubber-on-gelcoat, it's more of a mechanical metal-sliding-on-metal thing.
The bedroom slide design has been used for so many years, I would have thought someone would have posted the specifics as an easy how-to-do. Looks like I'll be getting the tools out and learning the hard way, but thanks for the suggestion. -RT
