2005 Itasca Meridian - basement lights
Hi Winnebago Owners;
I have recently noticed that none of the compartmen(basement) 12vdc lights are working. I am trying to figure out why. The circuit breaker on the 12vdc circuit breaker panel are all in. The compt light switch on the panel by the entry door is in the on position. Any ideas would be welcome.

We have different coaches but this is a problem I have with mine. If I leave a basement door(s) open for a long period of time the breaker will trip. It's a 12vdc push button breaker located under my bed. It hasn't yet become a big enough problem to make the top of my fix it list.
Good luck...

Gents,
While this is not the answer to the OPs question, it may help him at a later date, when he gets his problem fixed. I've change all my basement lights to LEDs and, many of the interior light bulbs too. I used what's called "SMD Tower bulbs" for the replacement ones in all the basement storage compartments. They're considerably brighter and, don't use 1/10th the amount of juice and, equally important, they don't put out any heat!
It's not a cheap alternative when you do the change-over but, it will definitely have a pay off in the end. Since you can leave those compartment doors open for extended periods of time because of the ultra low power consumption, you may correct breaker problem. Good luck.

Can you remove the switch to see if you have 12 vdc on either one of the terminals? If you don't have power to the switch then you'll have to look farther upstream for the problem.
If you have power at the switch, try connecting the wires together, if the lights go on, you have a bad switch.

FWIW
If it is a "rocker" style switch, I have had 2 give me problems in less than 3 years from brand new.
