2003 Adventurer front TV upgrade

Neighbor has a 2003 Adventurer ... how do you remove the plastic facing & housing around the front TV?

If it's like my 04 Vectra, open the cabinet doors on each side of the TV. Look for screws just inside the door openings that go into the frame around the front of the TV. There may also be screws hidden by plastic caps on the bottom of the plastic housing which go up into the framework.

Thanks. Thought perhaps the outer plastic might just pop off. We did find two screws under caps on the bottom of the main surround. We will check the adjoining cabinets.

Ditto on 2 screws down low just inside the cabinet doors on both sides of the TV.

My '02 Journey has several screws coming up from underneath holding a plastic and wood cover on the bottom of the steel TV cabinet. When I bought the RV that old CRT TV had been replaced by a Vizio 32" flat screen and there wasn't any surround around the front of the TV...guess the remodel eliminate it. I can see evidence they removed some woodwork from that cover for a more finished appearance. The TV just fits between the left and right cabinet doors with 1/2" free space on each side.

They shaped an aluminum bar as a handle and bolted it to the top two mounting holes on the back of the TV. What they did to hold the Vizio was use a ratcheting nylon strap to connect to that aluminum bar on the back top of the TV to the back (front of the RV) wall. Then also drilled holes downward in the plastic base of the TV and used 1/2" bolts and nuts to hold it to the bottom of the steel TV cage. The bolt heads were covered by the original cover that comes up from the bottom.
