Engine and transmission CPU. I've read somewhere that the air brake dryer draws a little. Also your dash radio if your radio switch is set to chassis.

Fully charged chassis (starting) batteries on your coach would be pretty much drained in about 5 or 6 days if you don't have some type of trickle charger on them.

Ben: Do a search for TRIK-L-START. I installed one on my coach, now chassis batteries stay charged with the coach batteries when I'm hooked up to shore power in my backyard. The install took about 30 mins. Good luck

Thanks Guys. Do you know if the solar charger charges them?

The solar charger charges the house batteries only, and not very much at that.
The only thing that charges your chassis batteries is the engine alternator.

You sure about the only charge the chassis batteries get is from the alternator? I've had my coach parked for a couple of weeks at a time, plugged into shore power, chassis battery voltage was 13.2VDC when I checked before starting the engine. Our coach is an '03 DL

Gunny,

Do an advanced search for "chassis batteries" in the Winnebago forum and you will see the problems.

I have to keep mine on a trickle charger even when plugged in.

I have a 03 Horizon. Each winter I spend four months in an RV park in Florida. Last year I found that my chassis batteries lasted about three weeks and then needed a recharge. There are a number of items that get power from the chassis batteries. One of them is part of the One Place monitor panel. This year, before leaving home, I went to Wal Mart and purchased a Black & Decker Smart Battery Charger (less that $20). I hook it up for 24 hours every 14-18 days and bring the batteries back up. If my chassis batteries went down in 5-6 days I would look for something draining them. That situation will occur with the house batteries when you are not hooked up to external power. That is why there is a battery shut off switch.
