In addition, many of us also apply Eternabond tape after sealing for additional protection. You can search this forum for more info on this ("Eternabond roof edge"). Here's one:

Eternabond tape should eliminate the need for annual re-sealing. I also use it around my roof penetrations, front and rear caps, etc. Some, especially those with full-body paint steer away from it for cosmetic reasons but, for older coaches like my 2002, I'm past that concern. Besides, if your roof is white and you do a neat job, it doesn't look at all bad.
