1999 32T Adventurer TV Upgrade

The front TV in my 1999 Adventurer 32T is a 19 or 20" GE tube TV. It has the beige plastic trim. Has anyone replaced the TV with an LCD? What model fits best? I'd like to mount it on the outside of the plastic front bezel. Any tips or advice?
Regards
Randy

Your tv setup sounds similar to mine, 1996 vectra. I have started the process and plan the following.
I removed the front tv and looked at the mounting. There are flat supports hanging down from the frame. I intend to install L pieces on the right side, mount a double arm (8") extension Level mount (bought from buy.com) mount this to the right side. Put the tv on the mount and it should push up against the front bezel. then I will put a clip to hold it from swinging, next inside I will build a three sided box that will mount to the lower cross shelf and this will become dvd storage. A 26" flat screen will cover the front of the bezel with a slight overhang. I am planing on a Vizio 26" lcd tv. Based on work, I plan to finish within the next two weeks. Also note, the arms on your antenna, assuming wingard, may need to be replaced. I was told the older ones (based on color) will not pick up digital signals. I have not verified this yet. Wil probably add their extra piece for digital reception.

I figure I've got about 23" from inside edge of flip up door to inside edge of flip up door. How much room do you have?
Thanks

Mine is mounted on the right side so I have over towards the passenger window. For yours, sounds like center mount, they make a nice 22" vizio (1080p) that I was considering using. Only problem is that it will leave the top or bottom open. Would have to fabricate a filler plate from something, either wood or metal. Get matching paint for bezel or use tv color. Dimensions on the tv's change depending on speaker mounting. So maybe a different tv would work.

I've got a 2001 Suncruiser with the center TV. I was able to mount a 32" 1080P Vizio in its place. I removed the old TV and the steel cage that supported it and then put the beige plastic trim back on for a clean look. I then mounted a 2X10 horizontally in the hole and used a full motion mount attached to that. This allows me to pull the new TV out to access the back inputs and angle or tilt the TV for optimal viewing from any seat. I also put a sub woofer behind the TV in the empty hole. There is a 2" gap at the bottom of the TV between the trim, but I am planning on making a trim piece to fill the gap, possible use a Yamaha sound bar. After install I was worried about how well the mount would hold up to bumps driving down the road so I installed some black shelf brackets on the 2X10 support that extend out under the TV for transit. Velcro was applied to the shelf brackets and bottom of TV to pad and restrict movement. I also used 2 TV hold downs at the top of the TV to further restrict movement. All easily removed while parked for full functionality. The TV was the maximum size for my space with the 2 cabinet doors on either side of the TV just able to squeeze past the TV when I open them.

Cruise, could you post a pic of the TV installed? That sounds like my scenario with my '01 Brave.
I have a 32" Visio that we take outside for tailgating and I want to mount that in place of the crt in the center.

Excellent pictures Terry!
What size was the crt television in there before the 32"?
It looks like you were able to re-use the origional cabinet doors without modifications, correct?

I do not remember if it was a 25" or 27". Yes the original doors are in use. I removed them to facilitate installation & also because I thought that I might have to move each of them outboard a little, but I did not. I also reinstalled the original bezel.

I am just considering replacing the center mounted 25" TV in the front of my 2000 Winnie Adventurer. The information posted here has been most helplful in planning my project which now appears more doable by a rank amateur. I am stuck on how to get access to the inverter in the right side cabinet so I can unplug the TV. Can anyone offer me advice on how best to approach this? Is the TV plug in (which appears to be inside the inverter) accessible without actually removing the inverter or the TV?

If I recall corectly on our 2004 Sightseer 35 N the TV is plugged in to the rear of the inverter. Access is gained by removing the fabric covered face plate that covers the switching unit & the inverter on/off. switch. The cover has a half dozen or so screws. Reach around back with the cover off the front of the inverter area & unplug the TV, the inverter is secured to the shelf with heavy duty velcro you may have to move it if you cant reach back there.

Info: Also the inverter is plugged in to a 110 receptacle in that area & also has a connector to 12V.
