12 Volt location for trailer 7 way connector

Does anyone have the location for the 12 volt hookup for a towable? We use our horse trailer behind the motorhome and our 12 volt lights inside the trailer do not work. There is no 12 volts coming from the motorhome. I'm looking for the origination of the wiring. Thanks! We have a 2007 Winnebago Voyage

On a standard 7 pin trailer plug , when looking "into" the connector on the MoHo (as what the trailer plug will see, if that makes sense) Pin 4 should be the 12V Aux/charge pin. It's the pin located at 1:00 o'clock. Sorry can't load up diagram, but pin out easliy found on internet.

For example, Diagrams such as

Yep, there's a wire going into that pin, but there is no power to that pin so we're trying to figure out where the power is originating from.

So far I think I have found a schematic on page 6 of 8 of what I believe is the wiring diagram of the trailer connector on your coach.
I chose a 2007 Winnebago 35A Voyage.

You get to it through the Winnebago web site, drill down through the levels;

Winnebago.com
Owners
Owners Resources
Guides and Diagrams

Then select your year and model.

I got to this page;

https://www.winnebago.com/Files/File...ire_156371.pdf

If nothing else it's a place to start tracing the 12 volt feed.

Hope this helps

I don't have knowledge specific to your MH, but I'm pretty sure it will be fused, so look for a fuse, the location is probably in your chassis manual.

On our 2008 Sightseer on a 2007 F53 chassis the 12V wire was not in the harness along the frame rail that leads to the 7 pin. Instead there was a dummy plug in the connector and I needed to run a separated fused wire from the battery.

I'd rather have the power to the trailer connector be on a switched circuit that's only hot when the tow vehicle is running or the ignition switch is on. If the wire is connected directly from your tow vehicle's battery, and you leave your trailer plugged in when parked, it can drain your tow vehicle's battery.

You can "piggy back" on an existing switched circuit by by replacing the existing fuse with a piggy back fuse holder. You do need to make sure the "feed" wire to the existing fuse is of sufficient size to handle both loads:

Power thru wiring

We had the same issue. Called Winnebago Tech Support and discovered there is a fuse that blew that send power to our trailer. Fuse box was in the driver side rear compartment area. Not sure where it is on your coach but winnebago can tell you.

On ours the 12v wire is only energized when the ignition is on. Dead when the ignition is off.

Winne07, looking at the drawings Winnebago did not wire power to the Aux 12V charging pin until 2009. And from 2009 to 2020 Winnebago supplied the power to the connector. In 2020 Ford finally added the Aux 12V wiring to the chassis.

I just ignored the dead OEM battery voltage wiring (which could have been installed by the PO) and installed my own directly to the battery using 8 gauge wire through an auto reset circuit breaker.

This way I always know what is what with it.
