Xite infotainment

We have a 2013 meridian itasca which has the xite infotainment radio. It is am/fm/Sirius ready with navigation. The touch screen no longer works and to replace would be over $1200. We bought the Garmin RV 780 for our navigation so we are looking just to replace with a radio. Does anyone have suggestions on a-replacement that would give us the radio and stereo features without the nav.
Thanks

I was having the same problem. I put it in the shop last December and when they were through working on it and parked it they turned the SERVICE and HOUSE batteries to off. When I turned them back on and started up the infotainment system worked.

Suggest turning it off overnight and then back on and see what happens.

I'm also interested in a system, just in case.

I appreciate your reply. When we park at our storage unit we turn off the house and chassis batteries. Are the service batteries you are referring to the chassi batteries?

Back to the drawing board.

The Xite system is available in at least 3-distinct screen sizes and 2-different core/head unit sizes and locations. We’d really need to know what Xite system you have to recommend a replacement. Can you post a photo of your screen and its location in your dash?

A number of other RV brands also use the Riverpark Xite systems besides Winnebago. So you might do a broader search for info on other forums. I do know that this topic has been discussed in pretty great detail on www.irv2.com.

That looks like a "double DIN" size or possibly a "1 1/2 DIN". I believe it's a head unit, meaning that the electronics are behind the screen. On some units there is a separate "core" unit which is a computer installed in an upper cabinet separate of your screen.

Some obvious places to shop for a replacement is Crutchfield.com OR to take the RV to any good Auto Sound installer shop near you.

You said you don't want GPS, but what about backup and side monitors, DVD, Bluetooth, Sirius/XM radio and other features. You'll need to talk to a specialist to get everything you want. Crutchfield.com will help you a lot over the phone, or if you go to a shop they will offer what they sell.

We had ours in for repairs and took a shot that may be it was covered by the extended warranty and it was. Ours will be replaced on Tuesday. If you have an extended warranty you might give that a try.
