Where is it -Accu-Tech Temp Sensor

Hello I have a 2004 Itasca Suncruiser 33V and it has an indash AccuTech e/t in it. I am looking for the compass temp. sensor box. I assume it is somewhere under the so called hood. I have looked my best and am unable to locate it. Does anyone know where it might be?

thanks
alan

Alan-

According to the "Front End Wiring Installation" diagram (link here, Sheet 8 (page 9 of the PDF document)), the temperature sensor is attached to the front grille. Four styles of grille are shown on Sheets 7 and 8. Sheet 7 is for Winnebago, and Sheet 8 is for Itasca. Your model of Itasca is a "G," so your grille should look like the one on the bottom of Sheet 8 (again, page 9 of the PDF document, i.e., its last page).

All the diagrams for your coach are available at this link.

Where is it?

Don't know about yours, but on my 2004 Itasca Meridian, it is above the ceiling panels on the drivers side. Look at the "ceiling panel" in the upper cabinet above the driver's seat.

According to the same "Front End Installation" diagram set, sheet 1, view AE-AE and note #10, the compass sensor is taped inside the cabinet above the driver seat.

Well I can tell you for sure it is not there. I even removed the shelves and the ceiling carpet. No where to be found. I know it is somewhere because when I was driving the RV the direction would change. Any other suggestions?
thanks

Mine was up there somewhere. I forget exactly, I just remember seeing it when I redid my TV. I really had things apart though, I even redid the headliner on the bottom of the cabinets. had the curtains, visors, and fans all removed to do it.

Hmm... If you can remove the driver-side reading lamp, see if the space above the hole is hollow. (That is, there is a space above the visible, lower face of the cabinet and the inside, "floor" or the cabinet.) If so, I suspect the sensor is there, mounted to the underside of the "floor" of the cabinet.

The nature of Winnebago's diagram (i.e., somewhat computer-drawn) leads me to think the sensor is quite close to the reading lamp base.

Your sensor appears to work, so is finding it to satisfy your curiosity, or for some other reason?
