Wardrobe Light Switch

We have a 2007 Journey 39K with the bedroom closet in the rear.
There are two of the compartment style lights in there (one on each side) and I cannot seem to find the switch for them.

Any assistance appreciated.

A look at the drawings seems to show push button switches on each door but then a look at the wiring seems to show it may need to have the ceiling light switch ON to operate as they are wired ion series.

That is a quick look and what I "think" I see so take it with a grain of salt, until checked, as I did not trace the full circuit?

Thank you Richard. I'll see if I can get a look at it this evening.

Richard,
Yes I looked last evening and there are switches one each side door jamb.
Tried it with the bedroom ceiling light on (any any other lights in there) but they did not light.
I guess I'll need to get out my voltmeter some time and learn some electrical troubleshooting techniques.
This issue is currently very small on my list so I'll likely not get to it for awhile. I guess I was hoping it was something simple and quick.....Bigger fish to fry right now but I'll be back when I get there.
Thanks again.

Most of us do have a small list in the back of the mind for "someday" !!
One of the gin things, ight be just bad bulbs but then a second quick look is to use a meter on the places where the bulbs plug in, not just to look for voltage but also to make sure there is also ground there.
That's the quick stuff and it can be more difficult but I like to look at the quick stuff first in the hope that the tough stuff never needs a look or more time!

Good luck and we'll meet again down the road, somewhere!!!

Actually, they are in parallel, so should be independent. Power comes in on JC to all three switches.

And a very good reason for why I said this, perhaps?

Thanks Richard and Chris,

Appreciate the feedback and advice. I'll get back on next time I get around to fooling with it and let you know what I learned. In the meantime I hope to see you guys again here soon when I start asking the 'bigger fish to fry' questions.

We had the same issue, but the doors would work their way open in travel and lights would be on. I removed the push button switches in the door guides and installed a manual switch on the left side wall outside the door about eye height.

Had same issue on my minni 04. Would drain the battery or burn out the bulb. Easy fix was to install led light. Now if accidently comes on it can run for months with out draining batteries.
