View Sprinter Chassis Battery
I have a 2018 View 24D and need a new chassis battery. What type of chassis battery does the View use? I think it is AGM. Can I get it somewhere other than MB, which I am sure will be very expensive?

My poking around on the Internet seems to indicate that it is an H8 or Group 49 AGM. Can someone confirm?

I would normally expect this type info to be in the chassis manual for the Rv. Did you get one to check there?

Yes, but the rig is stored 20 miles away. I thought someone might know off the top of their head.

The two coach or house batteries are Group 31 flooded lead acid.
The Sprinter uses a single H8 / 49 AGM type 12V battery rated at 900 CCA.

Wow, those are big batteries. I am amazed that they fit under the step. Did you have to do any modifications?
I have decided to go with VMAX SLR125 AGM deep cycle, Group size 31.
Unfortunately my chassis battery crapped out at the same time as my house batteries, and I replaced it yesterday with a Duracell AGM, group size 49, from Sam's Club. It was a bit awkward to replace, and I have scrapes and bruises to show it.

Replaced chassis battery. I replaced house with four UT-1300 Lithium batteries.

OK. Misunderstood. Makes sense now.
