Absolutely. And it is not unusual for us to run the generator in the afternoon so we can run the microwave.
But the problem for us is that we are often either in campgrounds where the quiet hours (ie, no generators) extends until late in the morning or in which no generators are allowed at all. We have been using propane to heat water at those places but it take a long time and heats up the interior of the RV. The electric kettle is faster and does not heat the surrounding areas nearly as much.
