Trik-l-charge

When installing a Trik-l-charg the directions say to locate the Battery Boost or Aux Start and the battery disconnect solenoids in the power cord comp. Is that in the approx 1 ft. square box that has on it "Power Switch - Automatic transfer switch"? There is nothing else in the comp but the power cord hookup. 1999 Vectra Grand Tour. Is there somewhere else I should look? Is there a better way to hook it up?

Thanks, Cork

Page 4 of the Chassis Wiring Install diagram for your coach shows the location of the two solenoids in question. Right next to them would be a good spot.

I currently have a TT, I have fairly good size house battery and I drained my battery in about 3 days just from the CO sensor..... The guy at Jayco said it really drains the battery... So I am guessing the MH would be the same.

Thanks Chris that will help a lot. I still do not know where these components are located. Are they under the hood or box in power cord comp.

Looking at page 2 of the same wiring diagram those solenoids are shown to be inboard of and above the batteries.

Why can't you hook it up straight to the posts on the battery? That's the way I always hook mine up.

I hooked mine up to the battery posts and leave it on all the time.

Good luck,
Dave

I too connected to batt terminals with ring terminals. Works fine. Keep it simple.

On my 2002, the solenoids were in the front behind a panel and the 2004 had them in the power cord compartment. Probably no help but check both places.
