Surge Guard 34750 Question

My new to me Journey 36G came with a Surge Guard 34750. I understand this unit has been discontinued and replaced by newer style, 35850, I think.

It appears to be working as advertised but I have a concern. When pulling it out of the Electric bay I can hear something(s) moving around inside. I don't know what it is, but doubt anything should be rattling around inside an electrical device.

I thought is might be a good idea to open it up (with power disconnected) and see what might be rattling around, but even with the screws out of the back the cover doesn't move.

I can't find a number or e-mail address for the Manufacture to ask this question, so maybe someone out there knows of a trick to get the cover off, or how to reach out to the manufacturer, to ask this question.
