Lightbulb Static Electricity Fried a Ceiling Light?

Hi All,

We have a ceiling tap light that will not go off. It's permanent "on" position came after I went to turn on the dining area light (it's a push switch lamp) and had some static on me from making the bed. That static must have gone through the dining lamp into that ceiling tap light as it turned itself on right at that same moment I shocked the lamp and now will not go out. (The dining lap however works just fine!)

We have unplugged all electrical inputs and the battery from the camper and it still remains in the on position when power is reconnected.

Thoughts?

Will getting a new light fixture for that tap light fix the problem or will whole new wiring need to be run to it?

Thanks!
