Right voltage charging

Hello, I have an ITASCA Navion iQ 2009 with a Mercedes Sprinter engine. I have recently replaced my old Trombetta solenoid by a new Cole Hersey (200A) like suggested by members.

So, I have a voltmeter connected permanently to the engine. Before replacing old solenoid, voltmeter indicated 12,9-13,2 volts (runs on the highway) and now with the new solenoid Cole Hersey, it indicates 13,8-14,0 volts.

I have made some searchs about that and it is difficult for me to find the right answer.
Then, the voltage 13.8-14 volts (runs on Highway) for a Mercedes diesel 6 cylinders, is it correct?

Thank you very much.

Yes, that's normal alternator voltage. It will drop a bit on a long drive depending on battery state of charge and what is running but your voltage is pretty much right on.

Now the other side of the new solenoid should be charging the house batteries just fine.

I've even watched the amp load as the alternator is charging with engine running. It can put a heavy amp load out at first, then it stabilizes to the load.
