Any chance you couldshoot us apicture ofwhere the existing wires were connected. The problem is that RV wiring is not as restricted on the ways they wire things!

Any chance there was a switch on the old fixture and not on the new? That can change the wiring a bit.

Posting pics is a learning game we play often, so no big thing!
To post, have the picture on your computer.
Start your post and then go to the "advanced" tag below.

Name:	post pic.jpg
Views:	26
Size:	49.4 KB
ID:	184175
That brings a new screen. Hit the paperclip at top center.

Choose the file/files from your computer one at a time and when all chosen, be sure to hit "upload!

That will add them to the end of your post but if you want to have some scattered in the post as I've done here, upload them.
Next put your curser where you want the picture added, like in the middle of the post, go to the paper clip and it brings down a list of the pics and choose which for that spot.

Preview and hit send!

Okay,so much help!
I think you can pull somewhat gently on the wires coming out of the ceiling and find there are connectors on the wires but hidden behind the panel. I am guessing the two black wires will turn out connected to one wire there!
What I thinkI am seeing is that your new light would have the same but the 2-1 connection is made inside the light instead of out where you see them??

Reason for saying to pull gently is that you don't want to pull the connection loose inside the ceiling if it was not really solid. If it doesn't pull out with a bit of wiggle, try making the hole a bit bigger as there are likely "lumps" that can hang up instead of coming out. They connect them and then shove them back, so they should come out okay but can fight us!

All the wires you are presently looking at belong to the fixture, you have not pulled the wires out far enough to expose the RV wiring.
If you pull the black wires out of the hole in the ceiling a bit more you will find that they are spliced together onto another wire coming from your RV, that is your 12 volt positive. The white wire is your negative and it will also be spliced onto your RV's negative wire. If you can't pull the wires out far enough to access the splices just splice both blacks onto the positive lead from the new light and white to negative lead.

edit: I'm such a slow typer Richard beat me to it!

Winnebago should have complete electrical info for all their rv models. I have a 09 Journey and until about 2013+/- , most were available on this site. They show virtually everything electrical so are a tremendous tool for owners. Call Winn and ask if you can get a copy of the electrical info package for your coach. It will answer all your needs if they include the same info that they had in my 09 Journey. They are in pdf format and included drawings. Good luck,

Looks good!
Sometimes it's the simple small stuff that helps the most.
