lwasouth........The vinyl material with the foam padding is available with the foam padding already bonded to the vinyl. Available is several color choices. Consult at auto re-upholstery shop. A good one would have it in stock. Much easier than trying to do the separate foam and vinyl.

The vinyl with the foam back is basicly headliner material. I talked to a marine upolstery shop. They recommended 1/2 inch cloth backed firm open cell padding. It is glued to metal dash and then you glue your vinyl to that. I chose marine reinforced vinyl "color putty" very close to original color. The trouble is you need to purchase 3 yards length by 54 inches wide. You only need 3 yards by about 22" wide. This leaves enough to do another dash that you could sell to another RVer at a bargin. Job is done and looks great with the 1/2" padding
