Rear camera

I have a 2020 microminnie 2108DS pre-wired for Voyager backup camera. Recently bought the WVH S43 system and tried to connect. Installation was easy but camera wouldn’t pair to monitor even though running lights were on. Checked plug in on rv with voltmeter and no power coming to designated connection but 12 volts coming to connection on the other side of plug - reversed wiring. Is the only way to fix this to unsolder the wires and reconnect to the other side of the plug?
Thanks for your help.
