Cool Power Drop

I have a 2005 Winnebago Journey 39k. I just bought it about 2 months ago. Great shape. Well taken care of. Always garage kept. Only 33,000 miles on it when I bought it. Hasn't been used in 2 years, so it needed some general maintenance. Here's my problem. I had it set up out in the yard. It has its own 50 amp 2 pole breaker run out into the yard on #8 direct burial wire to a 4 prong RV plug. It's own dedicated line. Everything is working fine electrically. Except the hot water heater.( I haven't figured that out yet. It's on the list). Thunderstorm comes thru a couple of days ago and knocks out the power to the neighborhood. A couple of hours later, the power comes back on and my Power line Energy Management System tells me I'm running on a 30 amp line instead of my 50. Load meter is showing how many amps I'm pulling. The whole thing, like I'm only hooked up to a 30 instead of a 50 amp service. Did the storm trip something? Burn something out? I still have 50 amps to the outlet, but somewhere inside my coach it's switching over to 30 amps. Does anybody have any suggestions, or even better, know what I'm missing. Went thru all books and manuals, but it doesn't mention my problem anywhere. Any imput is appreciated. Thanks.
Highliner.

Sounds like one leg of your 220v is dead so the rv thinks it is getting 30a/110v.

Check your home panel breaker. Maybe one tripped.

Thanks for your reply David. I did check that. I have 220 volts coming into the motorhome, right to the power bar behind the cover where it splits off from there. To the power management unit and the inverter and the wires coming from the generator. I cannot figure out why I have 220v/50A coming in thru my Power cord but only registering 110v/30A on my display.

This is your 110 Ac drawing:
https://www.winnebago.com/Files/File...ire_148959.pdf

I did a snip of what I might suggest as a first stop for checking as the transfer switch does have some rep for screws getting loose and now would be a good time to try them and tighten any that might be suspect----as well as check the voltages there. Click this drawing to get a better view!

There are two drawings for different size genset, so I choice to copy the smaller as the difference only appears to be wiring size.

Can we assume you have tested and get the same answers when running on generator? If something odd, that might give a quick hint to the solution?

I did some markups to show what I suggest. Depends on personal line of thought but when checking voltages along a line, I like to first see that it gets to the item and then also check it is leaving at much the same level, so I would check the incoming as well as what is going out to the load center???

I would want 110 from incoming white wire to black and also to red, then the same on the outgoing wires of same colors. Also, since they are not in phase, a reading of 220 from black to red might be expected even though you do not have 220 in the coach. but two sperate 110 leads.

If all is well there, next stop would be on page four of the drawing at the load center where the current sensing is done to look for loose or any signs of burns, etc.
