Optima 6v batteries

I'm considering replacing my two worn out 6 volt batteries with four Red top Optima 6v batteries.

(I know they must be wired in series-parallel to produce 12v.)

My battery area has the room for them and I know they aren't cheap, but I'm wondering if anyone here has tried this arrangement yet.
