Oman Cummins generator won’t stay on

My Onan gasoline powered generator will kick in and run for maybe 30 seconds but then shuts down. There is plenty of gas . I read this can happen with these otherwise very reliable generators. What do you do? BTW this 2120 Winnebago Solis is 1 week old. First time boondocking this weekend and it was freezing!!
