No 12V unless plugged into shore power

2004 33' Adventurer on Workhorse Chassis. I have lost all 12V to the house when not plugged in to AC. Aux/batt disconnect switch next to the door does not seem to have any effect on the solenoids (no clicking). Also, am seeing 24V on some of the terminals as shown in the attached pic.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help!

Greg

Looking at your photo it looks like you’re seeing 24v from your battery bank. Am I reading that correctly?

I am seeing 24V at the post above the batteries. It is halfway obstructed in the pic by the cover of the faceplate.

I suspect one of two things at play.
One is recent battery work to get them wired wrong as the only way to find 24V or possible wrong connections on reading the voltage as there is no way I have seen to get a correct 24V reading.
Check the battery connections and if there are two coach batteries, make sure the positive of one goes to the positive of the other to add amp hours, not voltage.
Voltage of two 12 volt will add if they are wired positive to negative and then to the output.

We are going to chase all the wiring and confirm connections. Is the isolated stud strictly for the chassis battery + ?

Thx,

Greg

Correct, that is the connection to chassis battery so that the solenoid can connect the two strings together when it receives signal 12V on wire LR and FM is ground on your system. Point to check is that the battery cables which tie the two coach batteries together are connected negative to negative and positive to positive as they seem to be connect positive to negative to get the 24 V reading.

Solved!

Found a ground wire that was not reconnected after battery replacement last fall.

All voltages back to normal and 12v works again as it should.

Thank you all!

This is what I ended up with. Hopefully it may help someone in the future.

Cheers,
