No 12 volts on my passenger overhead compartment,

Just got a 2005 27 ft sightseer, and I dont have any 12 volts power on the passenger overhead compartment, the outlet is a cigarette lighter socket, suppose to supply 12 volts to Tv, and other DC accessory, I cant find a switch, or procedure to turn it on, dont know where to start or what to do.

Thanks for any help.

There's most likely a fuse that needs changing.

I've moved this to our Winnebago forum to see if a similar owner can assist.

Wiring diagrams: Table of Contents
Circuit JA - 15 amp fuse labled Monitor and pump in Load Center (Passenger side aft of sink)

12 volt wiring digram (http://www.winnebagoind.com/diagram/...ire_148420.pdf)
Wall plate shown on pdf page 8 of 8 bottom right.
Connects to righthand plug and goes to pdf page 5 of 8, bottom right. Follow circuit JA to next connection left and up to fuse panel.
You can see all the components circuit JA feeds on pages 4 and 5.
If, the fuse is OK (Water pump working OK?), then you have a loose or bad connection along that path.

I will check it out, but this is what I did.....I can not find any switch or fuse that says front entertainment center or tv. I put a test meter at the cigarette socket and ground and I dont get any voltage. Then I put the meter between the + terminal at the battery and the center of the cigarette socket and Im getting 13.5 volts, sounds like the center of the socket is ground in reference to the positive of the battery. The center of the cigarette socket should be same as the + on the battery. What could be the problem? Any one have any idea or suggestion? Thanks Dave

If one of the components on the JA circuit has a short to ground, then yes that will happen. The fuse I referred to (5 amp fuse labeled Monitor and pump [3rd position from the right] in Load Center) should also be blown in that case.

JA Circuit
Front TV Wall Plate
Rear TV Wall Plate (via TV Power Switch)
Range Hood
2-Way Radios
Water Pump
Water Pump switch in Power Cord Compartment (Look here first for short to ground)
Monitor Panel (Supply to Water Pump Switch; Could also supply Water heater)
Radio Power

There is not one.
