2003 Ultimate Freedom 40 ft.KD
Found a switch that I never saw before -- by my left foot -- left of the steering column -- off the floor 5" or 6" -- same type of switch as those on the dash
Don't know what it does?

Anybody know? Don't see it in the wiring diagram

I believe the Ultimate series had Spartan chassis. If so, it's probably the rocker switch used by service techs when they plug into the diagnostic connector. I have one of them too.

Yes it is a Spartan chassis -- it is a rocker switch just like all the others on the dash and all over the rest of the coach ----- just like to know what it does?

The switch you describe sounds just like the one on our coach that was broken. it was discovered when tech needed to plug in OBD for diagnosing ABS problem. Had to replace the switch before he could diagnose. Pretty much what Cruzer said

That's the magic switch associated with the diagnostic plug that others have been looking for. Read the recent: "Spartan Chassis plug in "diagonistic" plug" thread.

On some chassis, with certain engines, there is a switch exactly as you describe for curb idle speed adjustment.

If it rocks in 2 directions, with the "normal" position being center, its a possibility that it's an idle control switch.

Hope this helps.
