Mystery light switch

Does anyone know where the light switch is located for the rear light above the engine compartment door on a ‘02 Horizon? The lens is broken, but not sure if the light works. The part number is ITC 94110, which shows not available when googled. But it shows a third brake light, but my lens is clear, like a utility light. There is no dock light switch on my dash. Kinda hard to check for voltage, when I don’t know how to turn it on. Thanks.

Looking at the brochure pictures, assuming its the one above the engine door and below the "Horizon" logo, there should be a red cover on that light. Third brake light.

But shouldn’t it have a red lens?

Whoops, you said that. Thanks, I’ll see if there’s current when brakes are applied.

You’re right, it’s a third brake light. Now, just have to find a replacement. Just don’t understand why someone would put a clear lens on it. Thanks for your help.

Not knowing specifics, but is it LED lights?

Are you sure that it doesn't actually light up red when activated? We were following a Dodge Charger yesterday and I made a comment to my wife about the rear lights. The while/clear bar was actually red when the brakes/turn signals are activated. Just wondering if you're dealing with the same.

LOL, and I just read your comment above that was posted as I was typing...

Yes Thom, it is led. Not sure if it lights red because it doesn’t work. But found the same light online, which has a red lens, but it says unavailable. So guess I’ll have to find a similar light, which hopefully covers the hole. Thanks for help.

Very common for these to go pink, even white.

This thread may help.
