Made the plunge
After looking for more than 2 years, I bought my first RV. I bought the Winnebago Forza 38R (2015). So far so good, bought from Lazy Days in Sefner,fl they were terrific. I stayed at their facility for 3days to check it all out. A couple minor issues but was expected, it drove great for my 100 mile trip home. I have it parked next to my shop and I have a 50amp service so I can keep it powered, I plan a few local trips to get my feet wet. I found your forum to be very helpful in guiding and advice, thank you to all.

Congrats on the new 38R!!! Glad to see more Forza/Solei owners on the forum so we can exchange information. We too bought ours a Lazydays a month ago. Had a number of issues to deal with before we left the lot and still have a few to work on getting addressed. Most of which are relatively minor. Enjoy the new coach.

Question on pricing
If you donot mind, would you please share the percent off the list price you settled on, for I am considering? Also how did you overcome the water heater only being gas operated, e.g. Not electric? Or is it a non- issue?
Enjoy the new coach

For the water heater, I added the Hott Rod conversion. Works very well. As far as discounts from MSRP, you should be able to negotiate something in the 25-28% range depending upon trade in situation.

ctaurie1 is right about discounts. I was not in a hurry and as I said I have been looking for 2 years. As a general rule I try very hard not to let emotions come into negotiations, and as a businessman I also realize that almost all purchases are made on emotion. They had a special deal at Winnebago so that I could pre-order a 2015 with all the options and get it the way I wanted. The price was approx. 25% off the msrp, but you have to be patient and you have to be ready to walk away. Normally from what I have seen you should be able to negotiate a price approx. 22% to 28% that leaves them approx. 7-10% for margin.Like car dealers they make more money on the back end (service) and they have a longer cash flow from that.
Regarding the water heater, the invoice states that we had a gas/electric version and they will be correcting it.

jrinc.
Hope you enjoy your 38R. We were taking delivery of ours when yours came in to Lazydays from Winnebago. We have already racked up about 1,000 miles on ours. Our delivery at Lazydays didn't go as smoothly as I would have expected, but we are happy with the coach. Still working through a few issues and learning more about the new rig every day. Safe travels.....
